Students:
- Know exactly what expectations are and how to be successful
- Use common language to talk about their work
- Develop student accountability
- Helps students to focus

Teachers:
- Provides a common language to talk with students about their work
- Feedback can be more focused
- Planning for lesson can be more focussed
