Computer Labs
At Raceview State School we have access to three independent computer labs each with their own unique use for different aspects of schooling and education.
The senior lab located just next to the administration building is used for our upper grades, (Years 3 to 6). It is stocked with a class set of laptops that are all equipped with the latest software, integrated webcams and microphones allowing us to teach new concepts in the digital curriculum such as video integration and office documents as well as the exciting new field of coding. This is where our students will learn the basic skills required to move forward into a career of programming and design.
The junior lab is located next to the Tuckshop and is used for our lower grades, (Years Prep to 2). It is also stocked with a class set of laptops that are all equipped with the latest software, integrated webcams and microphones as well as software required to introduce our youngest learners to the digital technologies.
Finally we have a computer lab that is located inside our library or resource centre's technology room. This lab is a fantastic resource allowing teachers to bring groups of students to complete research with both printed literacy and digital resources all in the one place.
Raceview State School is aiming to be at the forefront of digital technologies in the area through the use and access to these labs.
