The Raceview State School Whole school curriculum assessment and reporting plan (CARP) informs and documents how and when the Australian Curriculum learning areas and subjects will be provided at Raceview SS. The Raceview SS CARP is informed by the Department of Education’s P–12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework which specifies the requirements for Queensland state schools for delivering the curriculum for Prep to Year 12.
Australian Curriculum
The Australian Curriculum is designed to help all young Australians to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens. Presented as a developmental sequence of learning from Foundation - Year 10, the Australian Curriculum describes to teachers, parents, students and others in the wider community what is to be taught and the quality of learning expected of young people as they progress through school. The Australian Curriculum is flexible so that teachers can plan the learning for all their students.
At Raceview SS we teach, assess and report on the disciplinary knowledge, skills and understanding of the learning areas of the Australian Curriculum:
• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Humanities and Social Sciences
• The Arts
• Health and Physical Education
• Technologies – Digital and Design and Technologies
