The Prep enrolment process for 2027 commences in Term 2 & 3 of 2026. To be enrolled in Prep, your child must be aged 5 by June 30 in the year they commence. It is compulsory for all Queensland children to complete Prep prior to commencing Year 1.
What do I need to do to organise my Prep Enrolment?

Sound Scouts Parent Permission
To complete your child's enrolment, we will also need to sight your child's birth certificate and receive one proof of residential address, such as:
- Lease agreement
- Rates notice
- Water bill
- Electricity bill
- If applicable, please also provide copies of any legal orders, medical
documentation, or diagnostic reports
Transition Sessions
Across three Friday's in November, Prep teachers host three transition sessions to help you and your child become familiar with the Prep area, meet the teachers and meet new friends / families also starting in the new year. It is highly recommended that your child attends all sessions to best support a smooth transition into Prep in 2027. Please see below for the transition sessions:

Session 2: Friday 13 November 2026 - 10:00am - 10:45am
Session 2: Friday 20 November 2026 - 10:00am - 10:45am

Meet the Teacher
In Term 4, you will be informed of your child's class and teacher and receive an invitation for your child to attend a 'Meet the Teacher' session on Wednesday 9 December 2026 @ 2:15pm. We look forward to meeting you and your child.
