Welcome to the library!
Borrowing
Students are encouraged to borrow books during library lessons and during break times. All loans are for two weeks. The number of books borrowed by the students varies depending on their year level.
Prep and Year 1 students: 1 book
Years 2 to 6: 2 books
Your cooperation in seeing that books are returned on time would be
appreciated. We understand that life can become busy, therefore if your child
forgets to bring their book back by the return date, please encourage them to
return it as soon as possible to the library. Students will be unable to borrow
until their overdue book is returned. During each term, we will send home
overdue notices.
Misplaced library book. $5 will go towards the cost of replacement book. Once paid, your child can borrow again.
Library Bags
Prep: Students are required to have a library bag to borrow books.
Years 1 to 6: A library bag will help to protect the books from damage however, is not required to borrow.
Expectations in the Library
The
library is open both breaks for borrowing for Years 1 to 6 as well as other
activities and quiet reading spaces. As
part of Raceview’s Values in Action, we encourage our students to treat the
library space and books with respect.
